A New Chapter at The Township: Refreshing a Local Favorite
For more than 20 years, The Township has been part of everyday life in Ridgeland, and it’s stepping into a new chapter with a refreshed brand identity, wave of new restaurants, and even more reasons to spend a weekend visiting. The name and values are the same, but the look has evolved to reflect where The Township is today while still honoring what has made it such a special gathering place in the area for two decades.
New Dining at The Township
One of the biggest additions is The Oxbow American Grill, opening later this fall in the space that was long home to Sombra Mexican Kitchen. The new restaurant will bring wood-fired American cooking to The Township, combining familiar favorites with ingredients and techniques inspired by destinations across the country. Guests can expect high-quality meats prepared over Mississippi red oak, carefully sourced seafood and vegetables, bright salads, and creative sides. The bar will feature classic cocktails and a curated wine list, while two private dining rooms and a patio will create space for everything from business dinners and rehearsal dinners to family celebrations and casual weeknight meals. The concept is led by Jason Brumm and Jud Heubach, who bring extensive culinary and restaurant experience to the project. Brumm’s background includes Café Thirty-A, WaterColor Inn, Strategic Hospitality, and Gravity Haus, while Heubach brings 25 years of restaurant operations experience, including time at Char, Amerigo, Babalu, and Table 100.
Up Thai is also under construction and opening soon at The Township, bringing another cuisine and fresh dining experience to the property’s growing lineup.
Meanwhile, longtime favorite Lou’s Full-Serv has expanded. Known for its from-scratch cooking, quality ingredients, and local sourcing, Lou’s now offers a new event room and additional lounge seating, creating more space for private dinners, celebrations, casual drinks, and gatherings of all kinds.
Live Like a Local
The Township’s refreshed look is about more than a new logo or color palette. Its recent “Live Like a Local” campaign highlights what makes the property such a unique part of Ridgeland: the ability to work, play, dine, shop, stay, and live within one community. Start the morning with coffee before exploring the shops. Spend an afternoon walking around the lake or playing a match on the court. Meet friends for dinner, linger over live music, or turn a day trip into a weekend getaway with a stay nearby. The Township is designed to make it easy to settle in and experience Ridgeland at your own pace.
That sense of connection remains at the center of The Township’s new chapter. The refreshed identity may look different, but the locally owned businesses, everyday experiences, and opportunities to gather remain at the heart of the community.
