Things to Do in Ridgeland This Wildflower Season: Where to Visit
Summer is in full bloom in Ridgeland, MS, and this year the city is Wild About Ridgeland—and all the creativity, community spirit, and color it inspires! This season, Explore Ridgeland asked local businesses to “paint the town in wildflowers.” The #WildAboutRidgeland campaign is a community-wide marketing effort to honor the Ridgeland Wildflower Field & Art Park, and to encourage both locals and visitors to explore this unique roadside attraction. From public art and wildflower-inspired storefronts to themed events, Ridgeland is bursting with ways to celebrate summer—and you’re invited to be part of it!
Visit the new Wildflower Field Marker
The Ridgeland Wildflower Field & Art Park is a seasonal favorite for both locals and visitors—and this summer, it’s better than ever with its new wildflower field marker! Stop by and learn about all of the pollinators that keep the flowers blooming!
The Ridgeland Wildflower Field & Art Park is located at 411 W. Jackson Street, just off Interstate 55. Take Exit 105B and follow W. Jackson Street. Pull into the Exxon gas station, then park in front of the paint store. The entrance to the wildflower field is located nearby.

Green Oak Florist transformed the outside of their shop into a relaxing floral retreat where visitors can sit on a bench, take photos, and enjoy the beautiful blooms surrounding them.

With a colorful floral display on their patio that blends blooming flowers with the charm of the tea room, CW Organics created the perfect spot for photos and a peaceful stroll.

Mississippi-made floral artwork fills Fischer Galleries, showcasing the beauty of local artists and bringing blooms to Ridgeland.
MARTINSON'S GARDEN WORKS: Golden Bloom Award Winner
Martinson's Garden Works created a beautiful roadside flower bed filled with colorful flowers that welcome visitors and showcase the beauty of a Ridgeland summer.
TUXEDO JUNCTION
Tuxedo Junction decorated its storefront with elegant floral accents that add a touch of color and style to the shopping experience.
BILL WALLER CRAFT CENTER
Camp goers at the Bill Waller Craft Center helped create a colorful wildflower-inspired display that showcases their creativity and artistic talents.
RENAISSANCE AT COLONY PARK MANAGEMENT OFFICE
The Renaissance at Colony Park Management Office brightened its windows with a colorful floral display that welcomes shoppers and celebrates summer.
THE MUSTARD SEED
The Mustard Seed created a cheerful display with flowers that brighten both its windows and outdoor space.
THE LILY PAD
The Lily Pad transformed its entrance and patio into a colorful outdoor display that welcomes visitors with vibrant blooms and plenty of photo opportunities.
THE VILLAGE SCHOOL
The Village School created an educational display that highlights different types of wildflowers while celebrating summer in Ridgeland.
Take a Walk Among the Wildflowers
Before you leave town or head to your next adventure, be sure to take a moment to walk among the Wildflowers and soak in the beauty of this special place. The Ridgeland Wildflower Field and Art Park, located at the intersection of I-55 and West Jackson Street, is part of the Wildflower Trails of Mississippi Project and has quickly become one of Ridgeland's most beloved seasonal attractions.
Funded primarily by Keep Ridgeland Beautiful, with generous support from Keep Mississippi Beautiful, America in Bloom, Ridgeland Recreation and Parks, Ridgeland Public Works, and local citizens, the field was created to provide a welcoming gateway to Ridgeland, foster pollination, and showcase public art that reflects the spirit of our community. As you stroll through the wildflowers, keep an eye out for the latest public art — including vibrant pieces by local Jackson artist Gavid Bird.
The Ridgeland Wildflower Field blooms each season with colorful native flowers, including Mississippi's state wildflower, Coreopsis, along with zinnias, black-eyed Susans, cosmos, and blanket flowers that provide food and habitat for bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other essential pollinators.
