BOSSIER CITY, La. - The Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) has honored Explore Ridgeland with a Lantern Award in the Long-Term Strategic Programs Tier, Media Relations category for its 2024 Explore Ridgeland PR Launch.
Explore Ridgeland’s 2024 PR Launch introduced a refreshed brand identity and comprehensive media relations strategy aimed at promoting Ridgeland, Mississippi, as a premier destination for leisure travel, outdoor recreation, and Southern hospitality. The long-term campaign blended storytelling, national media outreach, and partnerships to increase visibility and visitor engagement across multiple markets.
About the Lantern Awards
The SPRF Lantern Awards program celebrates achievement in professional public relations. Awards are presented in three tiers: long-term strategic programs, short-term strategic programs, and tactical materials, with three levels of recognition: Certificate of Merit, Award of Excellence, and Lantern Award. A Best of Tier award winner is selected from the highest-scoring Lantern-winning entries in each tier, and a Best of Show is awarded to the top-scoring entry.
