Ridgeland, Miss. - The Ridgeland Tourism Commission (Explore Ridgeland) is excited to welcome Shanna Head as the new Director of Marketing and Public Relations and celebrate Amelia Dalton’s promotion to Digital Content and PR Manager.
Shanna Head brings 15 years of expertise and knowledge to her new role as marketing and public relations director. Her experiences span marketing, public relations, and graphic design with her career beginning in promotional marketing and retail management. There she developed a passion for the tourism industry. Her dedication to showcasing Ridgeland’s unique experiences and diverse offerings will be invaluable in engaging local communities and attracting visitors. Head’s commitment to the community and her specialized knowledge in destination development and tourism marketing are also poised to impact Explore Ridgeland's initiatives. A proud graduate of Hinds Community College and Belhaven University, she resides in Ridgeland with her husband, William, and their two beloved dachshunds.
Amelia Dalton has been promoted to Digital Content/PR Manager. In her new role, Amelia will create and manage all content initiatives, including blog posts, advertorials, collateral production, newsletters, web content, social media platforms, and user-generated content. She will continue assisting the director of marketing and public relations in internal and external marketing efforts while contributing her graphic design expertise. Dalton joined Explore Ridgeland in 2023 and has since been instrumental in promoting Ridgeland as a must-visit destination. A graduate of Mississippi State University, her creative journey began as the gallery director for Mississippi artist HC Porter. Her passion for travel and tourism brought her to Explore Ridgeland, where she now channels her creativity into driving brand awareness and inspiring a love for Ridgeland among all who visit.
