Explore Ridgeland Announces New President/CEO
Ridgeland, Miss—The Ridgeland Tourism Commission (RTC) is proud to announce the hiring of Shane Aldridge as its new president/CEO, effective June 2, 2025. Aldridge will work alongside current President/CEO Chris Chapman throughout June to ensure a smooth transition.
Aldridge brings nearly three decades of experience in hotel operations, tourism leadership, and destination marketing. He has built strong relationships in the Ridgeland business community and has demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout his career. Most recently, Aldridge has served as general manager of the AC Hotel by Marriott in Ridgeland’s Township, where he led the property to rank in the top 5% of Marriott hotels nationwide in 2023 and 2024. The hotel also received the 2024 Mississippi Lodging Property of the Year award from the Mississippi Tourism Association under his direction.
In addition to these recent accolades, Aldridge has been recognized as McKibbon Hotel Management’s Regional General Manager of the Year and has earned multiple Platinum and Silver Awards for excellence in hospitality performance. His leadership roles extend beyond the hotel industry—he previously served as president of the Mobile Area Hotel/Motel Association and is a certified professional in destination management and marketing.
“We are genuinely excited to see Shane step into this role,” said Lesley Holleman, chairman of the board for RTC. “His passion for Ridgeland and commitment to our community have always stood out, and I know he’ll bring that same energy and vision as CEO. His unique approach and investment in local partnerships will be instrumental in advancing Ridgeland’s tourism goals. We’re in great hands!”
Aldridge holds a business management degree from the University of West Florida and studied hospitality management at Pensacola State. A longtime Madison County resident, he has served on the Ridgeland Tourism Commission board for the past two years and is an active member of the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce, the Mississippi Tourism Association, and the Madison County Economic Development Authority.
Aldridge is married to his wife of 27 years, Nicole, an instructional assistant at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. They have one daughter, Savannah, who works as a Registered Behavior Technician at Blue Sky. Outside of work, Aldridge is known for his collaborative leadership style and his genuine heart for hospitality—qualities that have earned him respect and admiration across the region.
“I’m excited to step into this role and serve a destination as welcoming as Ridgeland,” said Aldridge. “I look forward to helping showcase everything that makes Ridgeland a standout place to visit, live, and explore.”
