Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary in Ridgeland, MS
America’s 250th anniversary is approaching, and Ridgeland is joining communities across the county to come together in celebration of this historic milestone. This month, Ridgeland locals and visitors can choose from a lineup of patriotic events that give everyone a chance to be a part of the holiday festivities.
America 250 United in Song
The festivities begin with a statewide musical celebration, hosted by First Lady of Mississippi, Elee Reeves, and America250 Mississippi. The evening will feature a statewide volunteer choir, live orchestra, children’s choir, special guests, and more. Admission is free to the public. For tickets and more information, click here.

Celebrate America Balloon Glow
The City of Ridgeland's Recreation and Parks is partnering with the MS Championship Balloon Fest for an evening you won’t want to miss. The annual event is returning to Northpark, where more than 15 hot air balloons will inflate to illuminate the night sky. Admission is free, and families can enjoy food vendors, live entertainment, a Kid’s Corner, and a fireworks display as the community comes together to celebrate America’s milestone birthday. REZ Life Independence Celebration
The celebration continues along the Barnett Reservoir for REZ Life’s Independence Celebration. This event will feature live music, food and drink vendors, family activities, and a fireworks display set to MIX 98.7’s patriotic playlist. Those planning to attend can choose between two viewing locations: Old Trace Park in Ridgeland or Bobby Cleveland Park in Rankin County. Admission for this event is free, and it begins at 5:00 pm with fireworks kicking off at 9:00 pm. Find out more information about this event here.
