Chisha Foka Multi-Use Trail
Trail entrance located just around the corner of the Ridgeland Bikeshare rack (facing The Bike Crossing, turn right and follow the sidewalk).
This 10-mile paved path runs through historic Choctaw homelands along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Enjoy the serenity of this protected greenspace with other cyclists, joggers, and nature enthusiasts.

Upon entering the trail at The Bike Crossing, turn left. Get to know the area’s Choctaw history and culture when you stop in the Natchez Trace Parkway Information Cabin. This building was once home to the Bill Waller Craft Center and currently offers restrooms open daily to the public.

Brashear’s Stand is a historic trailhead featuring a boardwalk that leads to the current residence of the Bill Waller Craft Center, showcasing work from members of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi and artisans across the southeast.

Accessing Highland Colony Parkway from The Bike Crossing
Upon entering the trail, turn right to navigate past the Ridgeland Wildflower Field and follow the trail along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Exit the trail to the right and follow the bike path route past the roundabout and down Highland Colony Parkway.

Begin your adventure along the pathways at Renaissance at Colony Park, the open-air center that goes beyond shopping, dining, and entertainment. In the warmer months, cool off with a stop into Scoop Dee Doo ice cream shop or Smoothie King.

From the Ridgeland Visitors Center at Renaissance at Colony Park, navigate through “The Renaissance” to the stop light near BankPlus. Cross Highland Colony Parkway to access the designated bike route. Keep straight and follow W Parkway Place to Steed Road. Cross Steed Road, turn left, and follow the sidewalk to S Lake Avenue. You have arrived at “The Township”, a master-planned, mixed-use community of shops, hotels, and more. In the cooler months, Fusion Coffeehouse offers coffee, hot chocolate, and a warm greeting before sending you on your way.

From the Ridgeland Visitors Center at Renaissance at Colony Park, navigate through “The Renaissance” to the stop light near BankPlus. Cross Highland Colony Parkway to access the designated bike route. Turn left and follow the route past the roundabout and onto the Chisha Foka Multi-Use trail. Follow the trail along the Natchez Trace Parkway. In the spring and summer, make a stop at the Ridgeland Wildflower Field to take in the colorful views.
